Hi all of you beautiful followers of IATL.

My name is Lucia from hangoutwithlucia.wordpress.com , and the lovely, Evelynn, asked me to write a guest post here on It’s a Tween Life. I’m very excited so I hope you all enjoy reading the post!

So it’s Summer, we all die of heat and end up being lazy. You get the gist. Sometimes, we just need something that will be easy and fun to do. That’s when life-hacks come in handy. Therefore I want to show you my top 5 life-hacks for Summer!

I. So, you’ve spent the day at the beach, reapplied sun cream, but you get home and are burnt. All you have to do is freeze aloe vera in an ice cube tray, and there you have it, instant sunburn relief!

II. We all love having some sweet, juicy fruit during the hotter months. And there might not be anything better than opening a carton of gorgeous strawberries. But then you cut off the stalk and leaf, and ending up with a strawberry fit for an ant. So instead of using a knife, just pop a straw through the pointy bit at the bottom, push if through, and the stalk and leaves come off so easily!

III. In the heat, we all easily become de-hydrated. To help remind yourself use a permanent marker and write the hours of the day on your water bottle. Once you’ve finished the bottle, refill it! Remember that you should try to drink 2 litres of water a day.

IV. Ice Cream is delicious, we all know that, but usually it’s not the healthiest. For a healthy but delicious replacement, try blending frozen bananas and adding cinnamon, the consistency is just like smooth, creamy, ice cream!

V. If your hair gets tangled and knotty after swimming, especially in salt-water, try putting some conditioner in dry hair before swimming. Then when your finished, just brush or comb through it! If there are still some knots, spray some detangling spray, and voila, hair as soft and silky as a cloud!

10 Fun Things to do for March Break + Amazing Easter Crafts!

🌷Hello..it’s me..

Hi guys! MARCH BREAK just started! Ahh. It’s like, a relief to sleep in and FaceTime my friends all morning. Today, I am going to show you guys things that you can do during March Break. Then, i’ll tell you guys some Youtubers and/or a website that I found that are doing adorable things for Easter. So, let’s get started!

Quick Note: I changed the layout of the blog. I don’t know if you guys can read it well, so notifie me if you guys can’t read it well.

    1.Have a girl day out. 

 You can go paint your nains…Eat a small cafe or restaurent…Go shopping. This is some really good mother-daughter bonding time.Then, you’ll be BFF’s forever!

     2.Go shopping with your besties.

It’s really fun to go hang out with your friends over March Break! This is a MOST-DO. I tell you, this is so fun to do this with your friends. If your friends don’t like shopping, I suggest rollerblading.

3.Do lots of activities.

This will keep you active and fit during March Break. Festivals, lemonade stand, camps, etc. Even rock climbing!

   4.Try DIY’s.

Bethany Mota, Meredith Foster, Niki and Gabi.. Amazing youtubers that love DIY’s and crafts. There are also lots of recopies that are sooo good!

  5.Have a bake sale.

You can always go online or on Youtube and find some yummy recipes. I suggest: Martha Stewart, Baking Mad and Nerdy Nummies.(Youtube)

  6.Visit a community center.

 Visit the library, the pool… Things that are at your local community center.

  7.Volunteer somewhere.

I volunteer at a food bank and I felt amazing! This will help the community.

  8.Visit a museum.

Pretty self explanitory. 

  9.Make your own indoor garden.

I really like this DIY because it shows that Spring is here! Take some fake or real plants and then you put them in a pot. Fill it with dirt for plants. It will also add a pop of color to your room or anywhere you want to place it.

 10.Participate in local festivals.

The’re are lots of festivals on March Break. It’s a fun activities you can do with family and friends.

EASTER:

Check out Style Me Up because they have amazing Easter DIY’s. 

This week, they have a Easter Bunny Jar DIY, and a Pom pom garland.  They also have a video of youtubers Brooklyn and Bailey. They are doing 3 Cute DIY Easter Eggs Ideas. 

Check out HelloMaphie‘s Youtube channel. I tell you, Mafer is the BO$$ of DIY’s. For Easter, she has lots of nail art, so make sure to check those out!

Last  but not least, Bethany Mota!! I just went on her youtube channel, and they were awesome Easter DIY’s. She has gifts, DIY’s, outfit ideas, makeup, etc..

 

 

5 DIY’s to do for your family and friends!

There’s only 5 more days to Xmas and I’m already freaking out. You know why? Because I have no idea what to give to my family. I can’t buy them anything. (Because I used all my money on that super cute skirt!) All I can afford is bubble gum. Bummer :(. So, I’m going to show you guys awesome DIY’s to give to your family and friends. I also wanted to say that I will be on vacation, so no posting for me, sadly. But anyways, you guys can check out Tween Spot in the meantime. Let’s get started!

You can buy a super cute little stocking for like, $2 at your local dollar store, and stuff it with a cute gift. I got something like that, and I really like it. You can put nail polish in it, a candy cane, some cute bracelets, collection cards, etc. Its really cool, I think friends will LOVE it.

Making cute little bags are fun. Bake small little treats, like cookies, brownies, cupcakes and more. You can put it in a plastic bag, and put it in a reusable bag, like the one down below. Peoples will appreciate your time, and your good baking skills :p . YUM!

An other cool idea would be layering ingredients for hot chocolate. Marshmallows, cocoa powder, etc. Basically, you would take a big jar, and layer it.

1rst layer, second layer, and more. Then, you would put a nice tag saying how to do it, and how to combine the ingredients.

If you have a little more money to spend, I highly recommend this. All you need to buy are:

1. A clear phone case (Basically the one that your friend or, dad has)
2. Sharpies or any permanent marker.

What your going to do is draw on it. My dad like football, so I would draw a football field. It’s a really cool gift that you can offer to anyone who has a phone.

My last idea is a homemade mug. Again with the permanent markers. You can get a plain white mug and draw on it. It’s a really nice, elegant, touching gift that comes from the heart.
